Navarro and Wessendorff offering insights to the teen brain

Any parent of a teen will eventually ask: What is going on in their brain?

Navarro and Wessendorff middle school parents can find some of the answers Aug. 15 and 16 when bestselling author Dr. Linda Karges-Bone visits both schools in Rosenberg.

Dr. Bone’s presentation, “Take 5 on the Teen Brain” combines research, parenting tips and humor as parents learn about the latest research concerning their young teen’s brain development, with emphasis on the impact of toxins, changing neuroplasticity,  the importance of sleep, specific nutritional choices, learning styles and family dynamics. 

Each family will receive Dr. Bone’s bestselling book “Brain Tips”, containing activities to increase brain development, critical thinking and language fluency.  

Navarro and Wessendorff and committed to providing a quality education to students that meets their emotional needs as well as their academic needs, and involving parents is a critical component. 

The presentation will be offered to Wessendorff Middle School parents, Monday, Aug. 15 at 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 16, to Navarro Middle School parents at 5:30 p.m.
