Gifted & Talented Services

Mission Statement

To provide advanced learners with the appropriate classroom instruction and services to fulfill their highest potential.

Referral and Testing for GT Services

GT Referral forms for the 2022-2023 school year are due to the counselors' office by December 17, 2021. Testing will begin in January and parents will be notified the first week in May of identification results.

GT Referral forms are available in the counselors' office or can be accessed from the link on this webpage found under Parent Information.

If students are already in the secondary GT program, they do not need to be nominated and re-tested for the following school year.

Gifted and Talented Services

All students determined to show an educational need for gifted talented services will be:

  • Provided differentiated instruction in the foundation curricular areas by trained G/T classroom teachers,
  • Served in the G/T classrooms through modifying depth, complexity, and pacing to the state/district curriculum,
  • Encouraged to exercise creativity and higher level thinking,
  • Served at the secondary level through PAP, AP and Dual Credit classes.
