Five administrators named at Lamar CISD

Lamar CISD’s Board of Trustees hired five administrators at its June meeting as the District prepares for the 2013-2014 school year.

Isaac DavilaIsaac Davila is the new Transportation Director. Davila is a graduate of Oklahoma Stateand worked in the transportation and payroll departments in the Tulsa Public Schools for six years.



Robin Sheehan is the new Purchasing/Materials Manager for Lamar CISD. Robin SheehanShe has her bachelors and masters in business administration from Houston Baptist University. A graduate of Terry High School, she is a Certified Texas School Business Specialist through the Texas Association of School Business Officials.   

Sheehan has been the Buyer for Lamar CISD since 2010. 

bertha alvarez copyBertha Alvarez is the new Assistant Principal at Navarro Middle School. A graduate of Alverno College in Milwaukee, Alvarez has her masters from Lamar University.

Prior to her position at Navarro, she taught in the Milwaukee, Alief and Lamar CISD schools. She taught kindergarten and has been the lead bilingual/ESL teacher at Long Elementary since 2009.

Risa Crosby is the new Assistant Principal at Long Elementary. A graduate of Crosby copyTexas A&M University, she has her masters from the University of Houston-Victoria. 

Crosby has eight years of teaching, all in Lamar CISD, most recently as the Math Facilitator at Velasquez Elementary. She also taught for two years at Williams Elementary.


keith williamsKeith Williams is the new Assistant Principal at Briscoe Junior High. He is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University and has his masters from the University of Houston-Victoria. 

Williams began his career in education at George Junior High, as a coach and science teacher, in 1998. He also has been a coach and teacher at Foster High School and served as the high school summer school principal in 2007.
