Lamar Consolidated High School is taking education to the next level. The Mustangs are constructing two on-campus greenhouses that will serve as the home of the school's aquaponics program.

Aquaponics utilizes fish waste to create the nutrients needed to grow plants without the use of soil, which is known as hydroponics. This will be a hands-on experience for students, encompassing a wide range of studies, including marketing, engineering, business, agriculture and culinary arts.
