A native Texan, I have taught English in middle school for over twenty years, the last eight at LJH. The way words, phrases, and sentences work together fascinates me, and my hope is that my students, too, will fall in love with the English language. However, experience has taught me that it takes more than a love of  language to be successful in my classroom.  Well-organized materials and a willingness to learn, if not essential,certainly ease the journey.
