Classroom Rules:

1.) Come to class prepared (bring paper, pencils, pens, homework and other class assignments)

2.) Be Polite (Be nice to your classmates and me!)

3.) Stay on task (Work on assignments in class, so that if you have difficulty you can ask for help.)

4.) Raise your hand to speak (Raising your hand to speak ensures that everyone has an opportunity to ask and answer questions. Please wait for me to call on you.)

5.) Talk quietly to the people you are working with (Your voice should not be loud enough for people in other groups to hear you. Do not talk across the room.)

6.) Stay in your assigned seat (You are permitted to move around the classroom to access supplies, however please do not get up in the middle of my lesson. You are not permitted to get out of your seat to socialize)

7.) NO FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED IN CLASS.

8.) CELL PHONES SHOULD BE ON VIBRATE AND OUT OF SIGHT AT ALL TIMES!

9.) Follow all other school and district rules as outlined in the George Ranch and LCISD Handbooks.

Consequences:

It is expected that you follow the classroom rules. Any disruptive or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action. Consequences of inappropriate behavior may include a warning, Teacher-Student Conference, Detention and/or Parent Notification, or Office Referral.

Beginning of Class Procedures:

1st – Sit in your assigned seat

2nd – Place backpacks, bags, and purses under your chair or on the hook. Backpacks, bags, and purses should not be on your back, in your chair or on your desk during class. For safety reasons keep the aisles or walking areas clear.

3rd – Begin your warm-up. You have between 5 and 10 minutes.

4th – If there is homework to hand in please put it in the hand-in container before class begins.   

5th – Check the daily schedule to see what materials you need to have out for class, and have them ready before class begins.

End of Class Procedures:

1st – Clean up your area.  Put books and other supplies up where they belong. Throw trash and paper scraps away.

2nd  – Remain seated in your assigned seat. DO NOT line up at the door. DO NOT leave until I dismiss you.

Grading:

Student Performance is reported using numerical grades.  In accordance with LCISD policy.

Major Assignments: 60%

Minor Assignments: 40%

Mandatory Tutorials:

Students with a 74 or below in English will be required to attend tutorials during my tutorial times. During this time, students may be required to complete extra or missing assignments. Please understand that grades for missing assignments, completed during tutorials, will be given in accordance with the late work policy.

Regular Tutorials

I am available three days a week during LONGHORN lunch.  For the specific time on a given day, please refer to the schedule posted on Edmodo, Remind 101, classroom whiteboard, and/or classroom door.
