Course Description:

The AP® European History course is a college-level course that aims to develop a greater understanding of the development of global processes and contacts, in interaction with different types of human societies.  This course highlights the nature of changes in international frameworks and their causes and consequences, as well as comparisons among major societies.  Students in this course are expected to demonstrate knowledge of basic chronology and major events and trends in European History from 1450 through present time.  The broad themes of intellectual-cultural, political-diplomatic, and social-economic history form the basis of this course.
