Briscoe 7th Grade Basketball Sweeps Angleton

The Briscoe Lady Eagles 7B Girls Basketball Team defeated Angleton 24-7. Notable defensive players include Kylie Mavris, Joselyn Ramos, and Raven Jordan. Top scorers include Joselyn Ramos with 5 points , Jade Cheramie with 4 points, Anaya Ervin with 4 points, and Kylie Mavris with 4points. The Lady Eagles start district play at 1-0.

The Briscoe Lady Eagles 7th A girls basketball team defeated Angleton Jr. High in their first district game by the score of 42-17. Scoring for the Lady Eagles were Imani Ivery and Emily Naivar with 10 pts, Isabella Babba with 6 pts., Giselle Villarreal and Sydney Freeman with 4 pts, and Elizabeth Waldrop, Brianna Garza, Kendall Mendez, and Anna Crawford with 2 pts. Each. Defensive players for the Lady Eagles were Emily Naivar, Isabella Babba, Sydney Freeman, and Imani Ivery. The Briscoe Lady Eagles are 1-0 in district play.

The Briscoe 7th Grade B boys basketball team opened the season last night with a 59-3 victory over the Angleton Wildcats. The Eagles were led in scoring by TJ Green with 30 points, Austin Yeager with 8 points, Dontae County with 7 points, and Anthony Contreras with 5 points. Seth Lopez, Lorenz De Robles, Isiah Bonilla, and Levi Biles each contributed with one basket a piece. Briscoe was led on defense by Anthony Contreras, TJ Green, and Dontae County. The Briscoe 7th Grade B Team is 1-0 in district play.

The Briscoe 7th Grade A boys basketball team beat the Angleton Wildcats to open the season with a 85-12 victory. Leading scorers for the game were Camron Amboree with 33 points, Chancellor White with 22 points, and James Dimalanta with 10 points. Other offensive standouts for the game were Lee Kubosh and Phuong Huynh who each had 6 points, Sam Haines with 4 points, and Abdul Sheriff and Tyler Johnson with 2 points apiece. Defensive leaders of the game were Abdul Sheriff, Sam Haines, Camron Amboree, and Chancellor White. The Briscoe Eagles A Team in 1-0 in district play.
