The Briscoe tennis teams opened the season in a tri-meet against Reading and El Campo Wednesday night. Both girls and boys teams swept El Campo, while splitting with Reading. However, the boys' singles were undefeated against Reading - Victor Nguyen, Anthony Nguyen, Carter Wilson, Laurence Taurquinio, and Alex Lopez all won. Dylan Davis/Bryce Howard, Michelle Ezeh/Dina Miller, Cami Hurtubise/Cristelle Pagunsan and Natalia Barron were also undefeated versus Reading and El Campo.
