Briscoe Football Sweeps Lamar

The Briscoe 7B Eagles beat Lamar 18-13. Scoring for the Eagles were Dasoni Frasier with a 20 yard touchdown run. Case Parker threw touchdown passes of 12 and 8 yards both to Sean Kelly. Other offensive players of the game were Carson Babin, Sam Wilson, and Kevin Batres. Defensive players of the game were Alexander Haiek, Juan Bryan, Reid Martinez, and Jorrin Thompson. The 7B Eagles move to 1-0-1 overall and 1-0 in district.

The Briscoe 7A defeated Lamar JH Ponies 6-0. Offensive players of the game were Mario Simmons, who scored the games only TD on a 60 yard run, Deaundre Hicks, and Zach Hopper. Defensive players of the game were Cody Beckworth, Eric Self, Ricky Rich, Chase Albright, and Terrell Moore. The 7A Eagles move to 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in district.

The Briscoe Eagles 8th grade B team defeated Lamar Jr. High 19-6. Leading the Eagles on offense were Jake Flores who had an 80 yard run, Shadeed Ahmed who scored on a 2 yard run, La'Jae Jones with a 25 yard touchdown run and Keaton Huebner with a 45 yard touchdown run. Leading the Eagles' defense was Shadeed Ahmed and Nathan Miller who both had interceptions. Other defensive leaders were Kyle Luster, Brody Mclemore, and Keaton Huebner. The Eagles improve to 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in district play.

The Briscoe Eagles 8th grade A team defeated Lamar Jr. High 37-6. Scoring for the Eagles on offensive were Amryn Williams on a 40 yard touchdown run, Jason McDonald on a 65 yard punt return for a touchdown, Michael Marino on a 10 yard touchdown run, and a 30 yard touchdown pass from Chip Barrillos to Collin Williams. The Eagles also scored on defense with a 70 yard interception return for a touchdown by Chip Barrillos and a 30 yard fumble return for a touchdown by Gio Juarez. Other defensive leaders for the Eagles were Court Adams who had an interception, Jace Jackson with an interception, Chip Barrillos with his second interception, Robert Harbor with a strip of the football, and Ethan Jurkowski with a fumble recovery. The Eagles improve to 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in district play.
