Bentley's Little Free Library

Little Free Library

Have you noticed the new addition to the front of our school?  It is a Little Free Library.  Our Little Free Library is a place where readers in our community are welcome to visit and borrow a book or leave books for others to read.  Once you are finished reading the book, you may return it to Bentley’s Little Free Library or to another Little Free Library in the community.  The motto of the Little Free Library is:  Always a Gift; Never for Sale.

If you’d like to donate books, please feel free to leave them inside Bentley’s Little Free Library or bring them to our librarian, Mrs. Bromonsky, and she will place them in the Little Free Library as needed.  Also check out Bentley’s Facebook page for a video showing the opening of our Little Free Library.

We would like to thank the Lamar Education Foundation, the L.E.A.F. Grant Program, and Ms. Janice Knight for this addition to our school.

Happy Reading!

Welcome to Bentley Elementary School!

We, at Bentley Elementary, are very excited to meet our new students.  We are looking forward to a great start and giving your children a challenging, well-rounded and exceptional education.

WATCH D.O.G.S. - Update - 4/25/2018

Bentley Family,

Hello! We just wanted to reach out to everyone and say, THANK YOU for all of your support for our Watch DOG program yet again this year! It was a fantastic and busy year for our Watch DOGS, with lots of returning faces and a bunch of new Gentleman taking up leadership roles in our school, and we are very thankful for all of your involvement!!!

A quick update for this year- Due to all of our teachers working VERY hard to get all of the kids ready for all their upcoming STAAR and placement testing, we are calling it a year for our Watch DOG program this year! Everyone is extremely focused on the testing and prepping for next year, and there are many closed campus days coming up between now and end of the year. So to keep everything as simple for both our hard working staff and our dads, we bring our Watch DOG season to a close.

BUT NEVER FEAR!!!! We will be back next year to do it all over again!!! I will advise all dads that we have a day coming up to celebrate another fantastic year with Field Day! And we really encourage the parents to sign up to help that day! This is a great chance for any dads that wanted to sign up to help again this year but were unable to, to get out there and have a great time with the kids!!! Your teachers will be in contact with you in the upcoming weeks about details!

We will also have celebrations for the end of STAAR testing for our upper grade levels, and many of the teachers have asked for volunteers to help with those celebrations, again, another great chance to sign up to help out 1 more time this year! Your teachers will also be in contact with you very soon about those dates, and how to sign up to help!!

Again, thank you to all of our Bentley family for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you next year for a new set of Watch DOG adventures!!!!!
