Haunt-cert w/ LCHS

Tomorrow , 10/25 is our big day!  We will have a joint "Haunt-cert" with Lamar HS @ Herndon Auditorium.  Students need to arrive @ 6:00, as we will begin singing @ 6:30.  Herndon Auditorium is adjacent to LCHS (4606 Mustange Ave., Rosenberg, 77471).  Students may wear a costume, but are not required to. WE WILL NOT HAVE REHEARSAL TOMORROW!   I want the students to save their voices for the concert.

Choir Begins!

The Austin Elementary Cosmic Choir will begin rehearsals for our Fall Session on Sept. 27th.  Choir meets every Tuesday, unless otherwise specified, from dismissal time until 4:00.  Students interested in joining choir need to complete and return a choir form by Sept. 27th.  For your convenience, a copy is provided here on my web page.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me here at school.

Music Teacher Elementary

Hello!  I am so thrilled to be starting my fifth year as an Austin Astronaut!  I began my teaching career in 1993.  I have  previously taught at Dulles Elementary in FBISD, Frost Elementary for six years and spent eight  wonderful years at Briscoe JH where I taught choir, theatre and Life Skills. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Houston, and my Master's degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University.  I am originally from the Panhandle, but have lived in the Richmond/Rosenberg area since 1987.  I have three wonderful children, a daughter and two sons, all of whom are college-aged. I have a sweet dog, Claire and a frisky cat, Nora.   

My hope for your children is that I can instill in them a love for music and the arts that will carry on far beyond their elementary years.  I feel so very blessed to be entrusted with your children.  They are truly a joy!
