We have a very busy week with major grades, curriculum checkpoints, and the end of the first nine week period!

We also have our field trip to San Felipe de Austin on Thursday.  I am very excited about this special opportunity for our fourth graders.  It will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I know that the students will have fun and learn a lot about Texas history.

Our school carnival is this Saturday, October 22nd.  Please come out and join us in supporting our PTO and our students!

Looking forward to a great week!

Parents,

Your child has access to several excellent programs that can be used at home to practice and reinforce fourth grade skills.  Study Island is a fantastic resource that students can use to practice both reading and math.  It provides students with lessons on 4th grade concepts, practice, and remediation if needed.  Students can use Big Brainz to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts in a fun and engaging way.  Think Through Math is another program that is aligned with the fourth grade STAAR Test.  Every child can benefit from this extra practice at home!  These are just a few more resources to help every child be successful!!!

We are half-way through the first nine weeks grading period.  Let's finish it out strong!
