Astronotes for October 5, 2016

Oct 05, 2016 | Bud Whileyman

The first Wednesday of every month is designated as “College Shirt” Day and the students can wear a shirt from their favorite college.  The purpose of doing this is for the students to start thinking about college at an early age.  We want to promote going to college to as many of our students as possible.  OF course the students also enjoy not having to wear uniform dress on these days.

The last day of the 9-weeks is Friday, October 21st.  This day is still a time that students do not have to wear uniform dress.  Parents will be signing up for report card conferences following the end of this 1st 9-weeks period.  Success Assemblies will also be scheduled the following week.

A reminder to parents who may be interested in our GT program, there is an informational meeting for parents on October 13 from 6-7pm at Lamar Junior High. More info here
