Astronotes for January 27, 2016

Jan 27, 2016 | Bud Whileyman

Next Monday will be the 100
th day of school.  As in the past, Kindergarten and 1st grade will have special activities planned.  Kindergarten students and teachers will dress like a 100 year old person.  Kindergarten will also have rotations going in their classroom in recognition of the 100th day.  First grade will be wearing tee shirts with 100 items on them in celebration of the milestone day.  After Monday we will be down to 80 days left in the school year.

Monday will also feature the Skeeter’s Reading program presentation.  At 1:30 students will be treated with a performance by the Skeeter’s mascot.  Students will be encouraged to read books to earn 2 tickets to a future Skeeter’s game.  Details will be given to the students at the assembly.  Hopefully this will encourage all of our students to read more books.

Just a reminder that next Friday, February 12
th, will be an early release day for elementary students only.  Students will be dismissed at 11:30 am.  Please make arrangements for your student’s transportation and day care.
