Lamar CISD Salutatorians for the Class of 2015

George Ranch High School

Celine Gandingco is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2015 at George Ranch High School.

The daughter of Kirk and Cecilia Gandingco, Celine will attend Stanford University, majoring in either Business or Psychology, with a Pre-Law path.

While at George Ranch, Celine was in the National Honor Society, was a band drum major and played clarinet, qualifying for State UIL for Solo and Ensemble competition. She is an AP Scholar with Distinction and earned the Science Department Senior Award.

She was the Vice President for fundraising for the Amnesty International Club, the co-founder and co-president of the Feminism Club, a member of the Sugar Land Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council and an active volunteer with Serve Sugar Land.

Foster High School

Elsa Toskey is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2015 at Foster High School.

The daughter of Shawn and Eric Toskey, she will attend the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Environmental Science.

She is a National Merit Commended Scholar, played clarinet in the band, was a member of the Texas Music Educators Association All State Band and an Outstanding Soloist at the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest.

Lamar Consolidated High School

Jacqueline Phan is the Salutatorian of the Class of 2015 at Lamar Consolidated High School.

The daughter of Vinh Phan and Nga Tran, she will attend the University of Texas at San Antonio, majoring in biology, followed by dental school.

While at Lamar Consolidated, Jacqueline was President of her class as a freshman, sophomore and junior. She was Student Body President, President of the National Society, named Most Likely to Succeed, Most Helpful, and was chosen queen for both Homecoming and Prom.

Her scholarships include the UTSA Access Program and UTSA Alumni Scholarship.

Terry High School

Courtney Duran is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2015 at Terry High School.

The daughter of Edward and Jodena Duran, she will attend the University of Houston, majoring in Biomedical Engineering.

While at Terry, Courtney played Volleyball and was President of the National Honor Society.

Among her scholarships are the Terry Foundation Scholarship, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship and the University of Houston Academic Excellence Scholarship.
