Astronotes for March 25, 2015

Mar 24, 2015 | Bud Whileyman

The last day of the third nine-weeks is this Friday, March 27th. Students are not required to wear uniform dress on this day.  Report cards will go out the following Thursday with Friday being a holiday.  Since next Friday will be a holiday we will move our Success Assemblies to the following Friday, April 10th.  The same time schedule will be followed.

Next week begins the first round of STAAR testing.  Grade 4 will be tested in writing on Monday and Tuesday.  Grade 5 will be tested in Reading on Tuesday.  The 5th grade reading test is one of the criteria for passing to the 6th grade.  Please have your child rested and prepared to go on these important dates.  We will provide some kind of a breakfast snack for the students to ensure that they can focus on their testing.  These testing days are “closed campus” days meaning that all visitors need to remain in the office area only.  Lunchtime is closed to visitors as well due to the nature of the testing environment. Good luck to all of our students!!!
