This Friday we will be having our 3rd 9-weeks Success Assemblies. Students will be recognized for their accomplishments during the 3rd 9-weeks. This also means we are in the final grading period of the school year. This year has been an exceptionally fast year. It seems like we just started and we are now in the final phase.
The make-up days for the 2 bad weather days that we used in February will be Thursday, April 17th (day before Good Friday) and May 26th (Memorial Day). Every year the district has to designate 2 bad weather days on the calendar. Most of the time we just ignore them because we never have to use them. However, this year is the exception. Having school on Memorial Day is probably the most controversial of the two days. Unfortunately it was included in the approved school calendar.
Today is a STAAR Testing day and we will be observing rules for a “Closed Campus” meaning no visitors for lunch etc. You may come in to the office if you need assistance.
Tomorrow, Thursday April 3, our First Graders will be taking a field trip to Dewberry Farms which is always a lot of fun and the students have a great time.

Just a reminder that all PTO Nomination forms are due this Friday! If you are interested in a position on the board for the 2014-15 year, please submit your form by Friday! We already have a few nominees, but the following positions do not have anyone running for office:
President, VP of Membership, Treasurer Elect, Co-Volunteer Coordinator, Yearbook Coordinator, Co-Yearbook Coordinator, and Co-Fundraiser chair. We need people in these roles to help the PTO run effectively. It only takes a little time and your children will benefit so much! Let us know if you are willing to help.
