I would like to thank all of the parent volunteers that helped to upgrade our garden in the front of the school. They came up on a Saturday to weed, trim, install a border, and spread mulch. They did a fantastic job in improving the look of the school grounds. Special thanks to the Emlers, Holchaks, Broussards, and the Kujaths for spearheading this beautification project. They put a lot of sweat and effort into making sure that Austin’s front entrance was an attractive and inviting place.
If you need to change the way your child gets home in the afternoon, please contact the office before 2:00 pm if possible so that we can let the teacher and child know of the change. Sometimes the office area can get hectic between 2:00 and 2:30. We want to make sure that the message is given to the classroom in a timely manner.
The PTO Fundraiser kickoff is tomorrow, Wednesday September 11. Please look for the packet in your child’s take home folder. This is a great way to support your PTO and school. We encourage you to join the PTO as well.
Our PTO will have an important meeting tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in the cafeteria to plan for the upcoming carnival. This event requires quite a bit of planning and will be here before you know it. Anyone interested in participating please come. The meeting should only last an hour.
