Our department serves the District through:

  • Data analysis for continuous improvement planning at the district and campus levels 

  • Ensuring data quality for state data reporting through the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS)

  • Implementing the Texas State Assessment program (STAAR, STAAR Alt 2 and TELPAS)

  • Administering Credit by Exam, Gifted and Talented, and College Readiness assessments

  • Implementing a locally developed assessment program to evaluate individual student progress

  • Coordinating district registration processes

  • Creating customized data analysis reports based on campus and district needs

  • Overseeing internal and external research projects proposed to the district

External Research

Each year, Lamar Consolidated ISD receives a number of requests to participate in research studies. While we are eager to participate in research that will enhance the development of our students and/or teachers, it is not feasible or desirable for Lamar Consolidated ISD to participate in every proposed research project. Thus, researchers are required to provide a Research Study Application for proposed research projects that fall within the district guidelines for conducting research.
