Mr. P’s Art Classes have learned line, shape,
pattern, and balance. In recent weeks Art Class students have learned about
drawing the human figure and are currently applying those skills to their rodeo
art pieces. Remember every students SECRET project is due on December
4th.
Ms. Lang’s Theatre Arts Classes have learned basic
theatre vocabulary, stage directions, audience manners, and have presented their
first performances in class. Rehearsals for the fall after school play,” Madcap
Monster Inn “, are well underway. The performance is on December 11, 20007
Admission is free.
Mrs. Tyler’s Musicians are busy working towards their
first concert December 13th at 7 PM in the Terry High School
Auditorium. All students are to wear a white dress shirt or blouse with a
collar, black dress pants or skirt, nice shoes that are preferably black, black
socks or flesh colored hose for girls. Please, no jeans or t-shirts. The red
tuxedo vest will be checked out at 6:30 PM that evening before the concert and
taken up after the concert.
Parents please note that this is a
mandatory performance in accordance with TEA regulations and district
policy.
Mrs. Engrav’s ESL students are currently working on
English language acquisition. We are focusing our attention on learning
vocabulary, listening and speaking skills, as well as reading and writing in
English. In reading improvement class the students are using a program called
Read 180. Our goal is to enhance reading skills in an active, meaningful
way.

Black/Crabtree recently taught
PE students the rules of volleyball and have now moved on to soccer. PE students
have been lucky to have such great weather. Nothing beats playing sports
outdoors! Everyone should take advantage of the weather and get outside!
