Accelerated Reader — Students earn points for reading novels and passing tests about the books. Points earned can be redeemed at an in-school store or for other rewards.

Celebration of Success — Student academic and behavior success is recognized each grading period by a special assembly and awards.

Behavior Bingo/Bash — For students who meet the behavioral expectations each grading period.

Speech Therapy — Provided by a full time certified clinician who is available for consultation in order to aid students who qualify.

Content Mastery — A resource teacher and/or aide are available throughout the day to tutor and instruct special education students who are mainstreamed.

Title I — Students are served by Success Maker for the 2006-2007 school year. Extended day classes are included for those students in need of remediation.

Computer lab — All students use the computer lab software to remediate or enrich skills in reading and math. Classes use the lab daily, with some students assigned to additional sessions. (Success Maker)

Live Broadcasts — Performed by students each morning, recognizes teacher and student of the week and includes daily announcements.

Healthy Jogging Club — 2½, 5, 7½, 10, 12½, 15, 20 mile clubs' top joggers are awarded on Field Day.

Participation in recycling efforts- Students participate in the recycling club. Every Friday they collect paper from classroom recycling bins.

Compete in UIL (University Interscholastic League) Competition (Grades 2-5)

Waterford Reading Program- PK-2 struggling readers will receive extra support from this fluency computer program.  

Extended Day- Students stay after school for tutorials. Extended day targets objectives  that students struggle in.

Student journalists for Fort Bend Herald Newspaper- Fifth grade students submit an article every week to the local newspaper.

Safety Patrol- 4-5 grade students are assigned various positions to help maintain a safe and orderly school environment. (cafeteria duty, pick up duty, hall monitoring)
