Meetings --- Teachers meet by grade levels to coordinate efforts in
meeting student needs. |
| Success Maker --- Computer-assisted instruction for students in math and reading on their level. |
| Tutorial
Program --- An Extended Day program is offered to students in 3rd-5th
grades to provide additional assistance in the areas of reading and mathematics. |

Mastery --- Resource teachers and aides are available throughout the
day to tutor and instruct special education students who are main-streamed. |

Math and Reading Nights --- Parents and students participate in activities
that reinforce arithmetic and reading concepts while promoting family fun. |
| DEAR
(Drop Everything And Read) --- Students and staff read every day during
the last 15 minutes of the day. |
| Super Star Students --- Once a
month a student is chosen that has represented outstanding behavior or
overall improvement. Their picture is displayed in the hall by the main entrance of the school. |

Choice Program --- School-wide counseling curriculum based on weekly
themes. |
| Choir
--- An Honor Choir for third, fourth and fifth grade students encourages development
of musical abilities. |
| Gifted
and Talented Program --- A differentiated curriculum designed to meet
the needs of identified high achievers. |
| Sunsational
Students of the Six Weeks --- A boy and girl from each
class is honored with a special treat. |
| Citizenship
Bingo --- Students academic and behavior success is recognized each
grading period by a special assembly. |
| Mentor
Programs --- The Richmond Police Officers have adopted Seguin Elementary
and regularly visit the school to eat lunch with the students and visit
with classes. |
| Lamar PALS --- PALS come from Lamar High School to mentor individual students. |
