Accelerated Reader

At Meyer Elementary, students in the 1st-5th grades participate in the Accelerated Reader Program. They read books on their individual reading level and take 5-10 question quizzes to earn points. These points accumulate, and the students earn rewards each six-weeks. Since 2004 the Gulf Coast Medical Center has helped to support this program with a $5,000 grant.
