| Computer-Assisted
Instruction — Students are scheduled
in the two computer labs each day for reading and math instruction. Special
education and fifth grade classrooms each have a computer available for
student use. |

Tutorial
Programs — Tutorials are integrated
into the instructional program during the school day. After-school tutorials
are available for at-risk students. TAKS remediation is offered for at-risk
third, fourth, and fifth graders two days a week after school.

ESL
(English as a Second Language) Program —
ESL services are available for pre-kindergarten through fifth graders
who have limited proficiency in English.

Special
Education Services — Available to
all students who meet state guidelines for special education. Services
include instruction from resource teachers, speech therapy, physical therapy,
occupational therapy, special transportation, and counseling. Students
are served on campus in the least restrictive environment.

Super
Pal Program — Each week, teachers
select students to be recognized for achievement or excellent behavior.
The students are recognized during Monday morning announcements, given
special privileges and receive special awards from the principal.

Accelerated
Reader Program — Provides students with
a fun, literature-based reading program with a computer management system.
|
|
DEAR
(Drop Everything And Read) — Gives a time for
students to read silently for enjoyment every day. |
|
"Caught" Being Good Program — Each
week students' names are drawn out of a bowl to receive special prizes
from the principal when they are "caught" being good. |
