Successmaker - A computerized instructional program that addresses reading, math and science skills.

Extended Day Classes - Students are assigned to classes for one hour after the school day to concentrate on Reading and Math skills. The district provides guidelines and transportation after classes.

Student Council - Students in grades 3-5 participate in a student-controlled congress while learning how government operates.

Awards Assemblies - Academic recognition, perfect attendance, and citizenship recognition is given to qualifying students every six weeks.

Waterford Early Reading Program - Early literacy computer program for kindergarten.

UIL - Students compete with other students in various UIL contests such as Number Sense, Oral Reading, Spelling, and Music Memory.

Book Fair - Two book fairs are held each year, one in the fall and one in the spring.

Accelerated Reader - Students participate in this supplementary reading program, earning points based on their scores from computer tests over the books they have read.

Capturing Kids Hearts - A program that emphasizes the positive interaction between teachers and students.
