Elementary School Nurse's Corner.

    

I have been a school nurse in the district for 5 years and very happy to be a Hornet.

Children entering this district or attending a Texas school for the first time will need to have their immunizations updated. Medications that are to be taken at school must be brought by a parent to the school nurse. Parents must fill out the "Permission to give medication" form.  A doctor's signature will also be needed on this form.

A parent or guardian will contacted to pick their child up immediately in the following circumstances:

• head or body lice
• temperature of 100 or above
• illnesses that require a doctor's attention
• medical emergencies
