Leann Imrie is the GT facilitator at Frost Elementary.  This is her 20th year of teaching.  Four of those years have been with Lamar and are truly the most exciting to date.  Mrs. Imrie loves the outdoors and being active, especially with her two sons, Mason (9) and Mitchell (6).  Skiing is an outdoor sport that Mrs. Imrie has been doing for years.  Running, camping, and reading are also her passions.  In fact, she plans to run her seventh half-marathon this year.  Her family is the most prized possession she has which includes her husband Joe, Campbell Elementary Assistant Principal, Mason, a third grader, and Mitchell, a first grade.  Teaching children has always come naturally to Mrs. Imrie who was the oldest of five in her family.  “I had to teach my brothers and sisters everything from how to cook spaghetti to tying shoes!”  she says.    She believes the flip side of teaching students, which is being taught by them, is just as much a part of the learning experience as the information she teaches.  She has never had to tell a fib when people ask her if she really loves her job, especially after having done it this long—Yes!
