GT Program Nominations – due December 18th

To nominate a student for the 2010-2011 G/T Program, a nomination form must be filled out and returned.  This form is available at the GT Nomination meeting November 2, 2009 from 6:30-7:30 at Terry High School Auditorium or by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.   Forms will also be available in the office to nominate your child after the nomination meeting.  The last date to turn-in G/T Nomination form is December 18, 2009 .   Kindergarten students do not need to be nominated, as every student is screened for the program.   First through 4th grade students already identified as Gifted and Talented do not need to be reassessed.   Fifth graders interested in participating in the 6^th grade G/T Program DO need to be nominated since it is LCISD's policy to rescreen all GT fifth graders for the secondary program.  The G/T Program serves students who have an educational need for specialized services.  The program includes placement with a classroom teacher trained in gifted education.

Nomination forms for the GT Program must be received by December 18, 2009  .

You will be notified of the committee's decision on May 1, 2010 by mail.
