All vendors interested in pursuing business with Lamar CISD are asked to fax to (832) 223-0167 or mail a letter on company stationary stating your interest in doing business with Lamar CISD.  Information regarding your goods and/or services is helpful in determining appropriate business categories.  

Submission of this letter is for the convenience of the Purchasing Department ONLY and does not imply or guarantee receipt of any invitation to bid, quote or request for proposal released; nor does it imply or guarantee the award of any bid, proposal or quote, or any part thereof.

Vendor representatives may visit the Purchasing Department during normal office hours.  Appointments are recommended and appreciated.

Regular office hours are 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday thru Friday.

ALL VENDORS, SHOULD MAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

School Board policy restricts the following:

·        Salespersons from calling on teachers or other school staff members without authorization from the Superintendent or his designee.  Principals may give permission to sales representatives of education products to meet with staff at times not interfering with the educational program

·        Employees must discourage and decline gifts that may influence the purchase of supplies, equipment and services.  Therefore employees of the District shall not accept or receive gifts or gratuities either in merchandise, services, discounts or money, nor accept excessive entertainment from representatives of vendors or contractors or directly from their organizations.

a.    Gifts include any items not obviously of an advertising nature.  Items of an advertising nature include items with the name of the firm affixed such as coffee mugs, pens, notepads, etc., with a generally recognized value of $5.00 or less

             b.    Excessive entertainment shall include, but not be restricted to, transportation beyond district boundaries and overnight accommodations.
