Lamar CISD A Self-Funded Health Plan Lamar CISD is a self-funded health insurance plan. A self-funded plan is a plan that is funded directly through District funds and is not funded through the insurance company or insurance premiums. The District must keep a specified amount of funds in a bank account to pay for all medical, dental and pharmaceutical care for those employees and their dependents on the Plan.
