Created to support LCISD

The Lamar Educational Awards Foundation was created to support the educational programs of Lamar CISD. The foundation will provide funds beyond the normal operating budget for educational programs and activities for students and staff. Foundation funds will be used to facilitate student achievement and skill development, recognize and encourage staff excellence and expand community involvement by individuals, businesses and civic organizations.

 Who administers the Foundation?

The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors representative of the communities and businesses served by Lamar CISD. The Board of Directors seeks funds and sets policy according to its bylaws. The Board of Directors is a separate legal entity from the Lamar CISD but cooperates with the District to enhance and enrich the educational opportunities for students and LCISD staff.
