After careful assessment of conditions, Lamar CISD will RESUME normal district and school operations on Tuesday, January 27 (schools are open). 

While road conditions are safe for travel, temperatures will remain low in the morning hours. We encourage families to allow extra time for travel and to ensure students are dressed appropriately for the cold, including warm layers, jackets, and gloves as needed. We understand that adjustments may be needed as everyone returns, and we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition back to our regular schedule. 

We recognize that weather decisions can bring a range of perspectives. As always, families know their individual circumstances best and may make the decision that is right for their household. If your child will be absent, please follow your campus attendance procedures.
